Advanced Pathology is an independent anatomic pathology laboratory in Lawton, OK providing pathology services for Southwestern Medical Center, local surgery centers and physician offices.
Our laboratory provides courier service to pick up specimens in Lawton twice a day. Supplies for specimen collection are provided at no cost. Tissue specimens are processed on site. Advanced microwave processing is available to provide permanent sections in only a few hours, but most reports on tissue samples are reported within 24 to 30 hours of collection. Non-gynecologic cytology specimens, too, are processed on site, which usually results in a one day turn around time.
Pap specimens are refered to a CLIA certified laboratory with proficient cytotechnologists and pathologists. Thin Prep samples can be tested for HPV and GC/Chlamydia. Supplies for conventional and liquid based (Thin Prep) Pap specimen collection are provided through Advanced Pathology.
Our reports are laser printed for legibility. Photos are often included. Hard copies are delivered daily by courier in Lawton. Reports are faxed in a timely manner if requested. Reports on the web in pdf format are coming soon.
